Diagnostic description:
A glandular-hairy annual. Stems erect or ascending, up to 16 cm long. Leaves trifoliate; leaflets 3 to 10 mm long, obovate, toothed at the apex. Flowers hang downwards, in dense panicle. Calyx 7 to 9 mm long, with linear-spathulate teeth 4 to 7 mm long, with up to 3 teeth at the apex. Corolla 5 to 8 mm long; standard pink, wings and keel white. Seed pods 6 to 10 mm long.
Distribution:
Local: Rare in Gibraltar. Found in the Hole in the Wall area.
Global: Found along the coast of the Iberian Peninsula and the Canary Islands.
Ecology:
Flowers from (March) April, May to June.
Habitat:
Grows on sandy soil near the coast.
