Riccia lamellosa Raddi
Diagnostic description:
Usually found in rosettes. Light green to bluish green in colour. Sometimes discoloured. The lobes are about 2-3 mm wide and up to 2 cm long. The thalli are sometimes bifurcate. A very narrow wing may be seen on the edges. The thallus also displays a wide but shallow groove. The edges of the thallus are pale. The half moon-shaped ventral scales are white in colour. They project beyond the margin of the thallus giving it a distinctive appearance especially when dry, during which the scales are exposed as the thallus roll inwards as it dries.
