Diagnostic description:
A densely pubescent, herbaceous perennial, with decumbent or ascending stems from 15 to 80 cm long. Leaves ovate-lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, wedge-shaped, 1.5 to 5 cm long. Flowers greenish, in axillary clusters of a few flowers, over 5 mm across.
Distribution:
Local: Very common and widespread throughout Gibraltar, including the town area.
Global: Found throughout western Europe and in the Mediterranean region, as well as from south west to central Asia.
Ecology:
Flowers from December, January, February, March, April, May, June to July.
Habitat:
Grows on old walls and waste ground.
